Tech companies are bracing for winter layoffs, as more than 50,000 employers have got the ax so far in 2022 — and winter is still coming. According to crunchbasenews.com, 15% of the layoffs that happened so far this year happened in just the first week of November.
That major spike can be attributed to Elon Musk’s mass layoff of over 3,700 Twitter employees and several other major terminations, like those from mental health startup Cerebral and GoPuff, a food delivery service.
